North Shore OUI Defense Attorney

How do I get a Hardship License
on the North Shore?

It has become more difficult to get a "hardship license" than it was prior to the passing of Melanie's Law in 2005.  If you need to be able to drive and have been convicted of a DUI, there is a complex procedure to fight to get one of these licenses.  You are required to prove that cannot get to work and back on public transportation, for example.  The paperwork and filings required when seeking a hardship license should not be attempted without the assistance of a North Shore OUI Defense Attorney assisting you.  If you fail to file the proper paperwork, you will be denied the license.  With the help of an attorney from the firm, you can ensure that the request is correctly filed and increase the possibility of a good outcome for your request.

DUI Defense Lawyer on the North Shore - Hardship Licenses

After being convicted on a first DUI (OUI) offense, it may be possible to get a Hardship License.  However, it is critical to have the assistance of a skilled lawyer to help you to get the license.  If you are considered a habitual traffic offender (a series of traffic tickets that have resulted in you having a suspended license) you also could be eligible for this type of license.  If you use a vehicle to get to and from work it is possible that you may be eligible for a one of these special licenses, however if you have been convicted for a DUI there are 9 separate criteria that you will have to prove in order to qualify.  In the case of a habitual traffic offender, there are 6 criteria that you must meet.  If any of these separate criteria are not correctly answered with the backup paperwork needed, you will be denied the license.  If you are seeking a Hardship License, it is strongly advised that you contact one of the attorneys to help you.

The procedure is complex and it is not recommended that you attempt it on your own.  It is untrue to assume that you will automatically be eligible for a Hardship License in the current scene.  If you have been charged with a DUI, you should consider speaking to one of the attorneys at our North Shore DUI Defense firm to discuss the possibility of defending you case.  If you are not convicted of the crime, you have no need to worry about a Hardship License.  However, if you have been convicted, you will need some legal assistance to get the license and the firm is prepared to advise you as to how to move forward.
